1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Taleemun platform ("Taleemun", "Platform", "we", "our", "us"). Taleemun is an on-premise deployed learning platform that allows educational institutions and instructors ("Institutes") to publish courses and allows learners ("Users", "Learners", "you") to enroll and access learning experiences.

By accessing or using the Platform through taleemun.com, an institute custom domain, or a branded Android/iOS application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

• Institute: An organization (e.g., school, university, training center, company) that publishes courses on Taleemun.
• White-Label App: A branded mobile application (Android/iOS) provided for an Institute, using its theme and custom domain and showing only its courses.
• Content: Course materials including videos, text, files, quizzes, assignments, discussions, and related resources.
• Account: Your registered profile and credentials used to access the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Platform. If you are under the age of majority, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Institutes are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Platform (including collection of learner data) complies with applicable laws and policies.

4. Accounts & Authentication

You may create an account using email/password or other authentication methods made available by the Platform, including Google Sign-In (OAuth) and custom authentication methods configured by Taleemun.

• You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your account details updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Platform Model (Institutes & White-Label Apps)

Taleemun operates as a technology service provider. Institutes independently create and publish courses. The Platform may display:

• All participating institute courses on taleemun.com (multi-organization view), and/or
• Only a single institute's courses on its custom domain or white-label mobile app.

Institutes are responsible for their course content, learner communications, grading and evaluation policies, and compliance obligations.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

Institutes and instructors retain ownership of the Content they publish, subject to any agreement between Taleemun and the Institute. Taleemun retains ownership of the Platform software, systems, design, trademarks, and related intellectual property.

You may access Content for your personal educational use only, unless otherwise permitted in writing by the Institute or Taleemun. You must not copy, reproduce, redistribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense, or exploit Content without authorization.

If you submit content (e.g., discussion posts, assignment submissions), you grant the Institute and Taleemun a limited license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the learning experience.

7. Enrollment, Access & Certificates

• Course availability, enrollment criteria, pacing, deadlines, and grading are determined by the Institute.
• Access to a course may be time-limited or revoked if required by the Institute's policy or for misuse.
• Certificates (if offered) are issued based on Institute-defined requirements.

8. Payments & Refunds (If Applicable)

Some courses or services may be paid. Pricing, taxes (if any), and refund eligibility are determined by the Institute and/or the payment terms presented at checkout. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Taleemun is not responsible for an Institute's refund decisions, course delivery obligations, or disputes between an Institute and a Learner.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share accounts or credentials, or attempt to access another user's account.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with Platform operations.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated methods to extract data without permission.
• Post unlawful, abusive, infringing, or harmful content.
• Violate intellectual property rights of Institutes, Taleemun, or third parties.

10. Security & Availability

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the Platform and user data. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency changes that can temporarily affect availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

11. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party services such as Google Sign-In, analytics, email providers, cloud services, or payment processors. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform (in whole or in part) if:

• You violate these Terms or applicable policies.
• We detect suspected fraud, abuse, or security threats.
• We are required to do so by law, regulation, or court order.

You may request deactivation or deletion of your account by contacting us (see Contact).

13. Disclaimers

Course content is created and managed by Institutes. Taleemun does not guarantee that any Content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taleemun and its affiliates, officers, employees, partners, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claims relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Taleemun (if any) for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updates on this page and revise the Effective Date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
